Hadass Leaves

Image of Hadass Leaves

You have captured a sense of motion and time beautifully.
—Michele Gutlove, South Natick, MA

After morning minyan, during Hol Ha'Moed Sukkot, I gathered up all the hadass leaves that had fallen on the chapel floor from the lulav.

My father always taught me that rules are meant to be broken. So, in my 3 "Hadass Leaves" gelli prints, there was no first generation or second generation or ghost print, per se. After the first round of yellow, I let my intuition guide me on which print needed more color (i.e. red or blue) and which print needed less. So this, my favorite "Hadass Leaves" print in the series, is both light and shadow.
